Chris & Dan Hankins

How did the Lord lead you to worship at Robinwood as a church family?
I was part of the church planting team. I felt called from the beginning of the planning process to plant and build a church that would reach a different group of people than the church that we came from. Chris & Dan Hankins

Where did you grow up?
My dad was career Air Force and we lived all over the United States. The longest place we lived was during Junior/Senior school in Omaha, Nebraska. I consider myself a Midwestern gal.

Tell us about a time your faith came alive.
I was raised in the church but I had two significant seasons where my faith grew. The first one was in college the first summer we moved to Huntington Beach. I attended a beach camp that introduced me to a new kind of relationship – it was the first time I had ever heard worship music with guitars! My second season occurred during my leadership involvement in the MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) program. I have been on an exciting spiritual journey ever since!

What are some of your passions for our church?
I am passionate about Robinwood being a church with vibrant and engaging worship. I am also passionate about Robinwood Church making a difference in Huntington Beach.

Tell us about your family.
I have been married to Dan, my college sweetheart, since 1989. He is a police officer for LAPD. I have two daughters, Madi and Olivia and two cats, Max and Baylie. We have entered the teenage years as of the summer of 2007. We are looking forward to some fun family years ahead!

How did you end up in your current vocation?
I have been playing the piano since I was 5 and always singing. I was teaching preschool music at our church and someone asked me to try out for the worship team. It was there that I discovered what God crafted me to do. I moved into worship leadership soon after and have had one of the most fulfilling vocations of my life!

How can we get in touch with you?
You can always stop by the Robinwood office and say hi! You can email me at or you can call the church office cell phone (since I carry it with me) at 714.421.8130.
