What Is A Good Person?
Bill Keightley died.
You may be wondering who is Bill Keightley. Although I never met the man in person, it feels like I have lost a friend and there are a lot of people who are sadden by this news and uplifting his name here.
As somebody who grew up in Kentucky, I am personally aware that the University of Kentucky basketball team is an icon that most Kentuckians look to as a badge of honor and pride. Bill Keightley, as the equipment manager for the basketball team for 48 years, was the ‘guy behind the scenes’ that many people in Kentucky could associate with. In addition to being a fan, Bill Keightley was known for the truly human qualities that many look for when judging ‘is that person good?’
When my time on this planet is over, I would be honored if the feelings that many people have about Bill Keightley could also be attributed to myself.
